The Halloween Trick-or-Treat Village was built with one simple goal: creating a Halloween experience where everyone feels welcome, included, and able to participate.
While every individual's needs are unique, we've thoughtfully planned the event to help reduce barriers and create an enjoyable experience for children, youth, adults, caregivers, and families of all abilities.
Ability Hive Accessible Halloween is proudly hosted at Jonathan Pitre Accessible Park in Embrun, Ontario—a park thoughtfully designed with accessibility and inclusion at its heart.
Accessible pathways throughout the event make it easier for individuals using wheelchairs, walkers, mobility aids, or strollers to explore the Village comfortably.
Accessible parking spaces are available close to the event entrance to help minimize travel distance and provide convenient access to the Village.
An accessible portable washroom will be available on-site throughout the event.
A private changing station equipped with a change table will be available for individuals requiring personal care during the event.
We recognize that access to appropriate changing facilities can make all the difference for many families, and we're proud to provide this important resource.
Need a quieter moment?
Our enclosed Sensory Regulation Area offers a calm space away from the excitement of the event, complete with a variety of sensory supports and regulation tools.
Whether someone needs a short break or simply a quieter environment before returning to the festivities, this space will be available for those who need it.
Sensory Support Kits are available to borrow free of charge during the event.
Each kit includes a selection of sensory tools designed to help make the Halloween experience more comfortable and enjoyable.

A large-format bilingual Visual Communication Board will be available to support non-speaking, minimally speaking, and AAC users in communicating their wants, needs, and feelings at the event.

There's no rush.
Guests are encouraged to explore the Village at their own pace and enjoy the experience in whatever way works best for them.
